How to Earn at Least an Extra Few Hundred Dollars a Year (Part 3)- Gift Card Apps

Recently, I have learned even more ways to earn extra money through gift cards. The gift cards are stored on your phone and can be scanned in the store. Some of these apps require work, which pays off in the end, or no work at all.

Gift Card Reward Apps

Shopkick *****

• Rating: 5 stars. This app is so easy, fast, and fun. It requires you to scan specific grocery items that are typically new, which earn you points toward a gift card.
• Online Rebates: There are some online rebate points you earn, but there isn’t too many.
• Can You Redeem the Same Rebate Across Other Apps?: Yes!
• Other Features: With some store purchases, such as Ulta, you get a certain amount of points per dollar you spend using the connected debit or credit card in store. Just make sure to click the credit button even for debit because you won't get points. For instance, you get 3 points for every $1 you spend at Ulta in store. You could also use the app and order things online for points as well.
• Minimum/Maximum for Cash Out: It could be as little 500 points for a $2 gift card to 6,250 points for a $25 gift card. There is also a Vespa for 1.9 million points.
• Redemption Options: You could redeem points for gift cards or a Vespa. The app recently added the ability to earn cash through PayPal as well.

• Rating: 4 stars. This app is also very easy. It requires you to use the card or cards linked to the account. When you first create the account, you choose 5 places to always get points on when you make a purchase there. There are also other offers available to you that may expire at a certain time.
• Online Rebates: Yes. It depends on the offers available
• Can You Redeem the Same Rebate Across Other Apps?: No. This is special on its own.
• Other Features: There aren’t any more features.
• Minimum/Maximum for Cash Out: It could be as little as 5,000 points for a $5 gift card to 100,000 points for a $100 gift card.
• Redemption Options: You could redeem points for gift cards.

Fetch Rewards ***

• Rating: 3 stars. This app is also very easy. It requires you to take a picture of your grocery receipt for points on certain brands. Most of the time you also get 25 points for taking a picture of a grocery list.
• Online Rebates: No. This app is pretty special when it comes to rebates.
• Can You Redeem the Same Rebate Across Other Apps?: Yes
• Other Features: There aren’t any more features.
• Minimum/Maximum for Cash Out: The minimum is 3,000 points which is about $3 while the max is 50,000 points that come to $50.
• Redemption Options: There are a wide variety of gift cards, but you can also donate your points as cash to a charity.
